Our in-house engineering division has been first to market with a range of custom aircraft - modifications. Coupled with our line maintenance programmes, we’ve got the skills & resources to manage your fleet and add value.
Heli-support for Land and Infrastructure Managers.
We work closely with project managers throughout New Zealand to develop innovative solutions. Our fleet size, equipment and crew gives us an agile capacity and ability to deliver rapid response heli-services on request.
Mt Hutt Helicopters has evolved and grown to be the largest agricultural heli-operator in Canterbury. With 90% of our work now in the Agricultural & Commercial space we’ve got the agri-fleet and crew expertise to get the job done.
The greater mobility achievable with rotorcraft enables us to tackle difficult terrain and reach locations that fixed wing aircraft and ground rigs cannot. Applications via fixed wing aircraft can be prone to drift. The maneuverability of helicopters and our use of CP9 low drift nozzles delivers a precision application.
Our helicopters are supported by a mobile team for reloading and refueling in the field. This delivers a rapid turnaround time to exploit weather windows and avoids having to return to an airfield after each run.
Oceania Spray Equipment
For aerial spraying, we use Oceania Spray Equipment which was designed and built for kiwi conditions. Key features of the system include:
Cyclic mounted control switches allowing safe & easy use
Jettison capable systems with dump doors
Uncomplicated install & removal of tanks & spray booms
Easily accessed pump engine
Kill switch increasing operation safety
Pneumatically operated actuators
Aerial Guidance System
We use the Satloc G4™ aerial guidance system. This model features improved connection speeds for downloading job and shape files and prescription maps. The Satloc G4 features video capabilities including Skype™ and Ethernet connectivity for cell-based modems. Background maps are also available. Maps enhance flight navigation and confidence by allowing our team to view flight information such as spray, waypoints, and polygons on background maps.
We stay connected with HQ™, a real-time web-based asset tracking tool that allows us to track the position and position-related data of aircraft and other assets, such as spotter vehicles and loader trucks.
